Punita Jhangiani joined ACNJ in 2008 and her warmth, laughter and devotion to people are easily evident to all who have had the privilege to meet her. Punita is passionate about helping people because she was inspired to become an acupuncturist due to a powerful, personal healing experience she encountered with acupuncture. She began her acupuncture career in 2002. Currently licensed in New Jersey, she is a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Punita is a graduate of the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she received a Master of Science degree. She continued her training in China at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM and the Tianjin TCM Hospital.
Punita directed the Acupuncture and Herbal Wellness Clinic in Bloomington, Indiana for several years until she and her family moved to New Jersey in 2008. Punita is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant where she integrates Western physical medicine therapeutics with her knowledge and skill in Traditional Chinese modalities of healing. Punita is very skilled in helping people with painful conditions and has a strong interest and background in women’s health and fertility issues. Punita has been trained and has extensive experience in treating patients with a wide range of health conditions and needs. Her true passions are fertility and women’s health. She draws inspiration and joy from working in the field of obstetrics and reproductive medicine and women’s health issues, sharing her experiences of how effective acupuncture can be in treating fertility. As a fertility specialist, she treats patients wishing to enhance their natural reproductive potential, as well as couples undergoing assistive reproductive procedures such as IVF. Punita is certified by the American Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), an organization dedicated to establishing the highest standards for integrating Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of reproductive health.
Punita is a long-time yoga practitioner and enjoys music and her family.
