Moxabustion
Moxabustion is an ancient modality that adds heat to the acupuncture points and channels by holding a burning stick or roll of a common herb mugwort, or “Artemisia vulgaris” near an acupuncture point. It works very effectively for pain disorders such as joint arthritis, muscle spasms and sports injuries. Moxabustion is indicated for patients with “cold” conditions who complain of indigestion, low energy, weak immune systems, menstrual or fertility problems and other patterns of weakness.
